Featuring works by students from Bourne, Barnstable, and Falmouth High Schools Cotuit, MA — The Cahoon Museum of American Art is pleased to announce the opening of Emerging Impressions: Student Perspectives in Print, a dynamic new exhibition showcasing original prints created by local high school students through the Museum’s Print Exchange Program. The exhibition is on view through December 21. The Print Exchange Program is a cornerstone of the Museum’s commitment to arts education, community engagement, and creative exploration. Inspired by the Museum’s current exhibition, Pressing Editions: American Labor in Print, participating students were introduced to a range of printmaking techniques and encouraged to explore both historical and contemporary themes. Through hands-on instruction, they developed their technical skills while cultivating their own artistic voices. Students from Bourne High School, Barnstable High School, and Falmouth High School took part in this year’s program. Their prints—rich in imagination, skill, and innovative approaches—reflect the diverse perspectives and talents of the next generation of Cape Cod artists. “We are incredibly proud to present Emerging Impressions,” said [Name, Title, or leave blank for you to fill]. “This exhibition celebrates young artists who are not only learning new techniques but using art to interpret the world around them. Their work brings fresh energy and insight to the Museum.” The Cahoon Museum gratefully acknowledges the Woods Hole Foundation and Cape Cod 5 for their generous support, which makes the Print Exchange Program and this student exhibition possible.
