Poetic License Invites Performers to Celebrate "Independence" on July 17

Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) invites poets, songwriters, storytellers, and comedians to take the stage at Poetic License, FCTV’s open mic-style TV program, on Thursday, July 17 at 6 PM. This month’s suggested theme is “Independence”—a broad and powerful topic open to interpretation in personal, political, or poetic ways.

Whether you want to reflect on freedom, declare your creative autonomy, share a moment of personal breakthrough, or make us laugh with a tale of breaking free, we want to hear it. Each performer will have up to four minutes to present an original piece on-camera in FCTV’s intimate studio space.

Hosted by the ever-welcoming Donna Scheer, Poetic License is a televised gathering that celebrates self-expression and community storytelling. All levels of experience are welcome—from seasoned voices to fresh perspectives.

Come perform, come listen, or come be inspired.

When: Thursday, July 17 at 6 PM
Where: Falmouth Community Television
Theme: Independence
Time Limit: 4 minutes per performer
Format: Poetry, music, storytelling, or comedy (original works only)
To sign up to perform or learn more, visit fctv.org/pl or email tony@fctv.org.
