Community Health Center to Host 25th Annual Golf Tournament to Support Access to Care

Bourne – Community Health Center will be hosting their 25th Annual Golf Tournament at Pocasset Golf Club (24 Club House Drive, Pocasset) on Monday, September 8. The funds raised from this event go directly to impact Community Health Center’s mission, to improve the health of the community through the provision of equitable, patient-centered, high quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. Community Health Center serves more than 25,000 patients, offering integrated care services to those most in need.

Last year’s event featured a sold-out field that raised a record-breaking amount to support CHC’s programs and services. This year, the Tournament will raise critical funds to support CHC in expanding access to care through a virtual health center. Many of CHC’s patients face transportation, financial or language barriers that impact their access to care. Support of this milestone event will allow expanded access to virtual care, providing remote patient monitoring tools to track health vitals from home; access to online interpreters to bridge language gaps; ability to assess acute health concerns online; and resources to make virtual care more accessible and easier to use.

The CHC Golf Tournament will begin with a 12:30 shotgun start, and includes lunch, a cocktail reception, on-course contests, dinner, awards and a raffle and auction.
