Cotuit, MA — Cotuit Center for the Arts is honored to present All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation, a landmark gallery exhibition showcasing the largest collection of Wampanoag art ever assembled in one space. Featuring over 100 contemporary and traditional works from 26 Wampanoag artists across the region, the exhibit celebrates intergenerational storytelling, cultural resilience, and the enduring connection between people, land, and spirit. Curated in close collaboration with Mashpee Wampanoag member and Cotuit Center for the Arts board member, Michelle St. John, the exhibit has drawn powerful reactions from visitors since its opening on May 31. The immersive collection—featuring sculpture, beadwork, weaving, painting, and digital media—offers an unprecedented look at the vibrancy and vitality of Wampanoag cultural expression today. “This exhibition is a powerful expression of art as memory, identity, and living tradition. All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation has transformed our gallery into a space of reverence, reflection, and connection—not only for the Wampanoag artists who have so generously shared their work, but for everyone who walks through these doors. I look forward to further discussion and collaboration.” The exhibition’s title, All Our Relations, references a phrase common in Indigenous traditions, honoring the interconnectedness of all life. The show reflects this theme not only in its artwork but in its collaborative curation and the inclusion of voices from across the Wampanoag Nation.
