Falmouth – Artwork by Annie Yakovleva will be displayed at The Gallery at FCTV from May 5th- June 27th. The public is invited to a reception with the artist on Sunday, June 1st, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Annie Yakovleva is an artist and graphic designer raised on the breezy shores of Cape Cod, with a lifelong love for the small, curious wonders of the natural world. Growing up among the salt air, winding trails, and coastal critters of the Cape, she developed a deep appreciation for nature’s tiny details—and a passion for capturing them through art. Cape Critters is Annie’s playful and heartfelt collection of illustrations, paintings, and designs, inspired by the wild and whimsical creatures that call Cape Cod home. From mischievous raccoons to sparkling tidepool treasures, each piece invites you to slow down and discover the charm and personality hiding in plain sight. Blending digital illustration with traditional acrylic painting, Annie brings her subjects to life with vibrant color, textured brushwork, and expressive character. Her art is infused with the curiosity of her scientifically driven background and shaped by influences from abstract impressionism, weaving together movement, storytelling, and emotional depth. When she's not creating art, Annie works as a professional graphic designer and digital media specialist at Kaleidoscope Imprints, while also taking on fun freelance projects like children’s book illustrations and custom commissions. Cape Critters isn’t just a collection, it's a love letter to the Cape’s natural magic and a joyful invitation to look a little closer at the world around us. The Gallery at FCTV is located within the Falmouth Community Media Center, which is at 310E Dillingham Ave., easily accessible by Rose Morin Lane. FCTV and Gallery Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu: 10-8pm, Fri: 10am-6pm. Sat: Closed, Sun: 12-8pm.
