Cape Abilities, Cape Cod Times Neighbors Fund, Community Servings, Elder Services of Cape Cod & The Islands and Health Imperatives, Inc. Are Beneficiaries for Fourth Quarter of FY2025

HYANNIS, Mass. (March 24, 2025) -- The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, through its Charitable Foundation Trust (The Coop Foundation) has awarded $45,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of Barnstable County residents.

During a recent meeting of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, the following new grants were awarded for the fourth quarter of the bank’s 2025 fiscal year:
• $25,000 to Cape Abilities, disbursed over three years, to be used toward the construction of a new Cape Abilities Farm Community Space in Dennis. The locally designed space will create a welcoming place for staff, enhance programming for individuals with disabilities and function as a community engagement center.

• $5,000 to Cape Cod Times Neighbors Fund to help fund the expansion of its Childcare Access Initiative, a program that assists families by providing a monthly stipend for childcare expenses.

• $5,000 to Community Servings to support the expansion of its Food is Medicine: Nutrition Program for Individuals & Families Affected by Critical/Chronic Illnesses in Barnstable County program. Through this program, Community Servings provided home-delivered and customized meals to individuals and families affected by chronic illnesses including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, HIV and nutrition insecurity on Cape Cod.

• $5,000 to Elder Services of Cape Cod & The Islands in support of its Digital Equity Project, which delivers digital training and technical support to older adults in their homes to improve access to health care and reduce social isolation.

• $5,000 to Health Imperatives, Inc., to continue its Nourishing Newborns program, a collaboration with The Family Birthplace at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. “This quarter’s grant recipients contribute to our communities in immeasurable and extraordinary ways and are truly deserving of recognition,” said Lisa Oliver, Chair, President and CEO, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. ”The bank is proud to continue its long history of providing well-deserved financial support to organizations that contribute to making Cape Cod a better place to live, work and thrive.
