Falmouth, MA — Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) invites submissions for the 2024 Priscilla “Pucky” Roslansky Memorial Award. Established in 2012, this annual $250 award honors Dr. Priscilla “Pucky” Roslansky, a dedicated member, producer, and advocate for civic education in Falmouth. Known for her work on environmental, medical, and social issues, Dr. Roslansky used media to educate and improve local political discourse, leaving a legacy that inspires FCTV’s mission. The award is open to FCTV members in good standing who submit a video program of at least 30 minutes focused on the Falmouth community. Entries should serve to educate or foster community connection and align with the values Dr. Roslansky championed, including promoting local understanding, improving political dialogue, and strengthening community ties. Along with their video program, applicants must submit a completed FCTV Cablecast Agreement/Statement of Compliance, giving FCTV the right to cablecast, stream, and offer on demand and via social media. Also required is a 500-750-word essay explaining how their project supports the values of the Roslansky Fund. Current FCTV board members, selection committee members, FCTV staff, and their families are ineligible.
