Falmouth, MA, October 21, 2024 - The Falmouth Commodores organization is pleased to announce that Paul Aries has been elected as the new Director of Baseball Operations (General Manager) at the Annual October Board Meeting. In addition, Bob Curtis and Steve McAllister were re-elected to the positions of President and Treasurer, respectively, for an additional term of two years. All individuals assumed their positions effective at the October 15 meeting. As General Manager for the Commodores, Aries will generally be responsible for acting as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the coaching staff and players. He will work with the new Field Coach Jarrod Saltalamacchia to assemble a team roster, coordinate player arrivals and departures, purchase equipment for the field and players, along with additional duties. Sharing his enthusiasm about the position, Aries stated “I’ve been involved in sporting organizations for a long time. I’m looking forward to helping the coaches, players, and other members of the Commodores organization have a successful season in 2025 and beyond. I can’t wait to get started.” Aries recently retired from 18 years with Nelnet Business Services and is a 25-year partner at A2 Associates, LLC, responsible for conference planning for non-profit organizations. He has been Chairman of the Town of Westwood Recreation Commission, on the Board of the Northern California Junior Hockey Association, a Coach and Tournament Director for the Tri-Valley Minor Hockey Association, and an Official and Trainer for the USA Hockey Program. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Mashpee, MA, where they enjoy being a Host Family to Commodores players. Commodores President Bob Curtis shared, “We are excited about Paul joining. He is such a positive influence, a great consensus builder, very organized, and has a ton of energy.
