Bourne – Community Health Center hosted its 24th Annual Golf Tournament at Pocasset Golf Club on Monday, September 9. More than 125 golfers participated in the event, raising funds to support Community Health Center’s mission to improve the health of the community through the provision of equitable, patient-centered, high quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. The Tournament raised $100,000 for Community Health Center’s programs and services, the highest amount in the event’s history. “We are so very grateful for the outstanding generosity from our community that continues to make the Golf Tournament a success year after year,” said Karen Gardner, Chief Executive Officer at Community Health Center. “This event enables CHC to expand access to essential services across the upper and middle Cape for those in need. Now more than ever, access to this care is vital for the health of our community.” Community Health Center is grateful for the generous support from the community for this event, including gold sponsors BizChecks Payroll, Bowdoin Construction, Cape Cod Five, Chart Room, Dr. R. Bruce & Mrs. Mady Donoff, Foundations Group Recovery Centers, Hilb Group, L. Enos Jr. Restorations, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, MEDCOM Architectural Group, Northland Residential, Raponi Drywall & Plastering, Mr. Patrick Scanlan, Slade Mortgage and Southern Middlesex Industries Inc. A volunteer committee chaired by Mike Burton and Ben Hixon, and including Heather Brigham, Amy Connell, Lee Enos, Rob Frangieh, Rudy Hunter, David Jarvis, Rick Kelleher, Mitchell Lassiter, Greg Siroonian and Joe Smith was instrumental in making the event a success. Slade Mortgage’s team of Janice Burton, Mike Burton, Bill Guggina and Scott Liebkemann placed first in the women’s/mixed division. Bowdoin Construction’s team of Rich Healey, Max Hilchuk, Mike Kelly and Brendan Wall placed first in the men’s division.
