Beginning July 15, Falmouth’s most famous food festival to include free entertainment by leading Cape musicians. Rolls with heaping succulent lobster meat—enhanced with Saint Barnabas’s exclusive light dressing—will draw expected gatherings of thousands of Falmouth residents and visitors to Lobster on the Lawn each Monday from July 15 to Aug. 22. Hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie wraps are available and served with Cape Cod Chips, a Polar Beverage, and a Table Talk Pie. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are available free with a paid meal for children. The food will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Great Lawn of Saint Barnabas’s. The event is annual fundraiser for the parish and supports the community engagement ministry of Saint Barnabas’s which supports the community of Falmouth. Some of Cape Cod’s most talented musicians will perform live under the tent from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on the Great Lawn of Saint Barnabas’s: July 15 – The Sound Dune Event Sponsor: Gulmann Willis Group at Merrill Lynch The Sound Dunes Big Band is a mid-Cape based 18-piece orchestra fashioned after the great bands of the past, such as Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie. Included are 2 fantastic vocalists as part of the musical team. They feature music from the 20's and 30's through the 70's for your listening, dancing, and singing pleasure. If you like Swing, Latin, Jazz, Ballroom and some Rock thrown in for good measure, you will love the Sound Dunes Big Band! July 22 – Natalia Bonfini & Band Event Sponsor: The Clam Man A blues musician at her core, Natalia's natural storytelling ability and timeless vocals will take you on a journey. An award winning songwriter, her single “Before” won the New England Songwriters Competition and received honorable mention in SongDoor’s International Competition. The release of her EP, "Beyond the Broken Pieces", followed shortly after, offering an intimate peak into love, heartbreak, and the journey to self discovery. Natalia was a top 50 finalist on American Idol’s 20th season and has performed alongside national acts like fellow idol winners David Cook and Crystal Bowersox, Grammy nominee Allen Stone, Blues Legend Joe Louis Walker, and folk favorite Reverend Peyton. Reinventing your favorite covers, Natalia mashes up genres from soul to classic rock and back to her blues roots. With a sound reminiscent of Amy Winehouse or Janis Joplin, and commanding lyrics such as those of Alanis Morissette, Natalia comes alive on stage and is a must-see! July 29 – Shining Sea Strummers This eclectic group has been meeting weekly for the past 6 years playing ukuleles, guitars, and a bandurria. They play/sing familiar songs including "America the Beautiful", "I'll Fly Away", " Moonlight Bay", and many more. Players are from Falmouth, Sandwich, Cotuit, Harwich, Mashpee, Carver, Pocasset, Plymouth and Bourne. The group leader/organizer is Kathy Johnson. Over the years, they have performed at many local venues, Arts Alive, Museum on the Green, Peg Noonan Park, Falmouth Rotary Crafts Festivals, Mashpee Commons, Osterville UMC, Bourne, UMC, West Falmouth UMC, and many more. The strummers meet every Tuesday at the West Falmouth United Methodist Church on 28A in West Falmouth. New members are always welcome. August 5 – The Songbirds Event Sponsor: Polar Beverages The “Songbirds” (of Cape Cod) are an all-female quartet of musicians, songwriters, and recording artists. These 4 ladies include Caroline Brennan, Kathleen Healy, Catie Flynn and Kathi Taylor. Their acoustic, harmony drenched shows, presented in a laid back “Nashville-in-the-Round” format, include original music and their favorite cover songs. Covering genres from Folk, Americana, Country, and Rock, the variety of their music and personalities grace the stage as their voices blend together in multi part harmony. August 12 – Midnight Crisis Pat Ryan’s Midnight Crisis with Olivia Yingling and Michael Gabriel. Family friendly, danceable classics, R&B, rock, pop, jazz, reggae and blues. Something for everyone! August 19 – John McNamara Event Sponsor: Table Talk Pies Hailing from Falmouth MA, John McNamara grew up around music, playing in school band, singing in choir, and playing in several local rock bands. Upon graduating, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and toured New England. Now he tours nationally with his main project/band Crooked Coast. When he’s not on the road he plays as a solo act around Cape Cod.
