July 5-14, 2024 Thirty Cape Cod nonprofit organizations will benefit from this upcoming festival celebrating the region’s iconic bloom. As summer approaches, gardeners and nature enthusiasts alike are gearing up for the milestone celebration of the 10th Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, set to take place from July 5th to July 14th, 2024. Not just a celebration for the region’s signature bloom, the genus hydrangea, this event encompasses plants of all kinds. Hydrangea Fest's main attractions are the daily tours of private gardens, each designed and maintained by the individual homeowners and carrying a unique charm. Thirty local nonprofits will benefit from the proceeds of each tour. This year’s festival features 100 private gardens, from Falmouth to Eastham. Garden tours are $5 per person per garden, and each garden is open from 10 am to 4 pm (on the days specified). Be on the lookout for local Plain Air Artists painting in the gardens. Gardens are only one part of the festival. Enjoy workshops and lectures presented by leading horticulturalists, discover promotions at participating nurseries, take an art class to learn how to paint hydrangeas, or even watch a painting demonstration by Cape Cod artists. The Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival will kick off on July 5th with a Celebratory Opening Night Party at Hyannis Country Garden. This free event is open to the public and provides an excellent opportunity to mingle with fellow gardeners and enthusiasts.
