June 15th starts the Falmouth Commodores' 101st season of baseball, when the Commodores play the Harborhawks in Hyannis at 6 p.m. The Commodores' first home game will be at 6:00 p.m. on June 16th against Wareham at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth. The regular season includes 20 home games and 20 away games. Playoffs, against the East and West Divisions of the Cape Cod Baseball League begin on August 6th. This will be another exciting season for the Commodores. A roster of 30 collegiate players have arrived in Falmouth, several of who are MLB draft-eligible this year. Falmouth has a long tradition of turning out major league players. 2023 Commodores players Travis Bazanna and Charlie Condon are high first-round choices in the MLB draft this season. Another 2023 player Walker Janek is slated in the top 25. Last year 26 Commodores were drafted by major league baseball teams. The players will be led by Head Coach Jeff Trundy, starting his 30th year with the Cape Cod Baseball League and his 26th year with the Falmouth Commodores. Joining Coach Trundy are Assistant Coach Brad Stoll, Pitching Coach Mike Landry, Bench Coach John Schiffner, Hitting Coach Brett Becker, and Coach Brian Tomasini. The Commodores will be well represented at events in the Falmouth community this season. Several community groups, Falmouth Youth Baseball, Scouts, Barnstable Sheriffs’ Youth Group, and others will be recognized before home games throughout the season. The Commodores are partnering with the Police Athletic League of Cape Cod for a special baseball event open to the public on July 13th at Guv Fuller Field from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame game will be held at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth on July 27th.
