For the ninth year, gardeners across Cape Cod will ring in the summer season with the 9th Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, happening July 7-16, 2023. Not just a celebration for the region’s signature bloom, the genus hydrangea, this event encompasses plants of all kinds. The main attraction across the 10-day festival are tours of local gardens, usually kept off-limits and only maintained by individual homeowners throughout the year. Tours of these unique private spaces are $5 per person per garden, and every garden is paired with a benefiting nonprofit organization which receives 100% of the proceeds. Any Cape Cod based nonprofit organization is welcome to join the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival. Opportunities exist for nonprofits to join with local gardeners to create a tour. Area businesses are also welcomed to host hydrangea- or plant-related lectures, workshops, and demonstrations, or offer Hydrangea-related promotions.
