The Holidays at Highfield for 2022 presents another year of spectacular decorating and seasonal activities and performances. This year a new creche collection display shown with paintings by Marielouise Hutchinson of beautiful rural winter scenes will be on view in its own first floor gallery. Enjoy music, crafts and a variety of scheduled music performances each open day. Join us for traditional holiday songs performed by the Victorian Carolers, harp music, pianists playing old and new favorites on the concert grand, performances by the acapella group “Notescape”, and contemporary and traditional guitar music with Michael Oakland. Students from the New England Ballet Theater will perform Nutcracker vignettes in the Hall one day and Turning Pointe Dance Studio will grace the outdoor patio once again. Storyteller Jackson Gilman will regale kids of all ages with stories on the back porch. Our newest addition this year, the Snow Queen, a special friend of St. Nick, will make regular appearances on the weekends to delight children of all ages and listen to their holiday hopes! Festive culinary and floral classes are scheduled throughout these weeks. Gingerbread House decorating, bread making, and Holiday Tabletop Boxwood Tree design are all on the schedule. These classes fill up fast, so check out the website for dates and pricing information.
