FALMOUTH, MA - Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) offers three separate, in-person December Youth Animation Classes for ages 12-18. Each of these classes will focus on a different aspect of animation. In 2D Animation, participants learn to use the Synfig Studio application to create digital 2D animations, using a combination of drawing and computer skills. This in-person five-session class takes place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, December 6 through December 10. There is a limit of four participants for this class. The fee is $85 for FCTV members and $125 for non-members. 3D Animation teaches participants to create and animate objects in a 3D environment using the popular open-source Blender modeling application. This five-session class takes place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, December 13 through December 17. There is a limit of four participants for this class. The fee is $85 for FCTV members and $125 for non-members. In Stop-Motion Animation, participants will build puppets from clay and other materials, work together to create a script, and film animated short videos using stop-motion software. This four-session class takes place from noon to 2:00 PM, December 27 through December 30. There is a limit of eight participants for this class. The fee is $125 for FCTV members and $160 for non-members. All participants in these animation classes must be fully vaccinated and wear face masks at all times when indoors at FCTV.
