Cotuit Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Joyce Miller to its Board of Directors. Mrs. Miller will join the 16 current members of the board effective immediately. Robin joins the Center after retiring from a 30-year career with the New York City Department of Education. She served as a special ed teacher for the first 15 years and the second half as an art teacher and Blueprint for the Arts Facilitator. She has conducted staff development workshops in NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, and the Whitney Museum. Robin was the recipient of several awards including NYC and NYS Region 8 Art Educator of the Year. She has participated in several art exhibits on the Cape and especially with the Center. Robin and her husband James, who is a poet and retired banker, have been presenting a BLM series with the Center since 2020. She loves writing the scripts and looks forward to making more valuable contributions as a member. "We are very excited that Robin has joined our Board of Directors. She will be an important voice on the board as we work to grow as an organization, expand and diversify our programming, and make the Center truly inclusive and a welcoming arts home for all.
