Mashpee – Community Health Center of Cape Cod is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to their Board of Directors: Bhawana Chitkara and Rev. Will Mebane, Jr. Bhawana Chitkara is the founder and owner of Fabvilla, a lifestyle boutique in Mashpee Commons. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Delhi in India and has over twenty years of professional management experience. Prior to owning her own business, Bhawana was a Vice President, Branch Manager at Eastern Bank, managing large deposits and holding other responsibilities for the largest branch on Cape Cod. She also worked at RBS Citizens Financial Group as AVP, Branch Manager. Bhawana has demonstrated an ability to build new territories and expand opportunities within an existing client base, with outstanding relationship building, training, and presentation skills. She has been involved with numerous non-profits on Cape Cod including Falmouth Housing Trust, Cape Cod Children’s Museum, and Kiwanis of Mashpee. She currently resides in Mashpee with her family. Reverend Willie (Will) Mebane, Jr. serves as the ninth rector of Saint Barnabas Memorial Episcopal Church in Falmouth and is a member of the faculty for the Episcopal Preaching Foundation. An eclectic business career preceded Will’s enrollment in seminary, and he held executive management positions with broadcast outlets in North Carolina, New York, and Connecticut where he founded a management, media, and marketing consulting firm. Will holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He entered Yale Divinity School just before his 50th birthday and earned the Master of Divinity degree along with an award for excellence in preaching from Yale University. Will has been involved with many community and civic organizations addressing issues of social justice and equality and has volunteered with non-profit organizations addressing HIV/AIDS, affordable housing, refugee resettlement, education of urban youth, and more. Will was born in Durham, NC and is a former high school and college football referee and basketball official. He and his spouse, Ilona Paulette (Ronnie) Mebane, MSN, BSN, BS, are parents to two adult sons and reside in Falmouth.
