Mashpee MA: Cape Cod Children’s Museum completed a soft opening last week and is now ready to announce their official re-opening. A collaboration of research and efforts by the staff and Board of Directors has produced a “new way to play” at the popular children’s museum. The museum has instituted a number of safety protocols and procedures (the entire list can be found on their website). With help from the Association of Children’s Museums, government websites and following best practices of currently open children’s museums, we feel that we have put forth the best possible scenario for visiting the museum. “The biggest changes people will see are the reduction in the number of visitors we allow, requiring masks on everyone over the age of two, and moving in one direction as “a group” through the museum. So far, everyone has been incredibly positive, cooperative and commenting on how thrilled they are for us to be open. We are also exploring some private rentals for small groups, the people in “your bubble” as we have come to call it.” – Executive Director, Lisa Bates The mission of the Cape Cod Children’s Museum is to encourage hands-on experience that sparks creativity and imagination engaging children and families in playful learning.
