Mashpee – Community Health Center of Cape Cod is pleased to announce Munir Ahmed, MD, FACP has joined the organization’s leadership team as Chief Transformation Officer. Dr. Ahmed is an Internal Medicine Specialist with more than 25 years of diverse experience, caring for patients in the community. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his externship at Burgdorf Medical Center in Hartford, CT, and served as a Resident Physician at University of Connecticut, where he completed his Residency. He worked as a hospitalist at Cape Cod Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Ahmed was an internist with Cape Cod Healthcare in Sandwich. Dr. Ahmed’s clinical interests are hypertension, diabetes, geriatrics, hospice and palliative care. He lives in East Sandwich with his family. As Chief Transformation Officer, Dr. Ahmed will help guide Community Health Center of Cape Cod’s strategic plan to help achieve the quadruple AIM of health care: quality, cost, patient satisfaction and provider satisfaction. Dr. Ahmed will lead efforts to drive improvements in clinical outcomes, and will champion emerging technologies to engage patients in their health care. In addition to the responsibilities as Chief Transformation Officer, Dr. Ahmed will provide primary care services in the Health Center’s Bourne office at 123 Waterhouse Road.
