Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, with daily direction and scheduling provided by the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Staff is responsible for the cleaning of all MBL facilities including the upkeep of all offices, laboratories, workshops and other MBL facilities, housing- dorms, apartments, houses and cottages.
Experience Required:
Maintain assigned areas set forth by supervisor and/or manager. This includes the cleaning of all floors, offices, labs, classrooms/auditoriums, halls, common areas (including stairs), rest room facilities, doorways, and entrances immediately outside of assigned area (including snow removal). Sweep, scrub, refinish, polish and strip floors using brooms and mops and power scrubbing swing machine and floor machines. Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting. Strip and remake beds; bundle soiled linen; clean guest rooms, bathrooms, dust and sanitize flat surfaces; empty trash; vacuum, sweep, dry mop, and wet mop rooms, hallways, stairways, and other public areas; wash walls; move linens to and from drop-off locations. Provide setup and cleaning support of conferences in all MBL areas. Serve as Category II Essential Personnel during emergencies. Expected to be available to prepare for a storm, and take steps to restoring normal operations as soon as possible after an event, performing relief and clean-up duties. Serves as a member of the MBL Storm and Snow Team, taking direction from the Storm Manager. Assist in moving furniture and other contents from building to building as required. Report any unsafe conditions immediately to the Environmental Services Supervisor and/or the Environmental Services Manager. Work as a team with other MBL Staff to accomplish special projects or provide backup to other staff members. Assist Environmental Services Supervisor with spot checking rooms before guests check in. Perform miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to changing light bulbs, responding to emergencies, etc. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have the ability to follow directions and be attentive to detail. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and cleaning equipment required. Strong interpersonal skills required including the ability to communicate positively and politely with clients, visitors, and other MBL staff. Must be able to read and interpret written instructions and labels as they pertain to equipment and products used by the department.

Performs maintenance mechanic and HVAC services to include, but not limited to, preventive maintenance, mechanical, and equipment repairs with primary responsibility for HVAC equipment. Working with a Multi-trades staff, duties will be assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Experience Required:
Inspects HVAC systems, their components and controls (i.e. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, air conditioning systems, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance. Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment and systems and their associated electrical and mechanical controls. Assist HVAC technician with tasks as directed by Manager. Maintains repairs and installs heating, ventilation and cooling units. Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical and electrical components of these systems. Maintain and repair research support refrigeration and equipment (centrifuges, ice machines, and domestic refrigerators). Assist HVAC/R technician with tasks as directed by Manager. Capture used refrigerants, store, and inventory for future use in accordance with current standards and regulations. Must maintain appropriate recovery Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring proper functioning of HVAC systems and other equipment as assigned. Documents all work using work order system and logs as required. Repairs heating and air-conditioning systems and /or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coil units, piping, cooling towers, controls, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper work environment for laboratory functions as well as work environment. Maintain proper inventory of stock, parts, tools and safety equipment along with other Plant Operations & Maintenance staff as directed. Orders parts such as motors, belts, refrigerant and compressors as required. Requests equipment and supplies as needed from supervisor to complete necessary maintenance or repairs. Assist MBL employees as necessary and as Works with, coordinates with and supports other Plant Operations and Maintenance staff (HVAC Technician, Electricians, Sea Water Technician, Plumber, and others) as well as other departments to maintain buildings in proper conditions. Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure work is completed and equipment is operational. Serve as Category 1 Essential personnel for emergency response. Expected to be available to prepare for storms, provide facility protection during storms, and participate / take first steps toward restoring normal operations after storms. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct. Excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction of user departments. Be available for on-call shifts on a rotating basis and emergency Perform other tasks as required SKILLS REQUIRED: Shall have formal training in the HVAC field either through trade school or previous successful employment in the field. Must have computer literacy sufficient to perform data entry and retrieval from established programs. Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals. Must be self-motivated and take direction well. Proven ability to function in constantly changing environment required as well as the capacity to work as a team member within a department and, when necessary, independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. EDUCATION I LICENSES / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of trades experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified with demonstrated skill in the HVAC trade required. Certification from a recognized authority to operate refrigerant recovery equipment, Universal EPA certificate required. Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License with favorable driving record and/or be able to obtain a Massachusetts Driver’s license within 60 days of hire date. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job requires the ability to lift heavy objects up to 80 lbs. occasionally, and up to 20-40 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Worker must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, fine finger dexterity, grasp, feel, talk, hear, taste, smell, perform repetitive motions, and lift. Worker is required to have the visual acuity to operate machines where the job is at or within arm’s reach and to perform tasks standard to mechanical or skilled trades. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and working closely with all HR team members, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator assists with the administrative duties of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Experience Required:
JOB DUTIES: Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of MBL’s Human Resources department including providing general customer service to the community and external stakeholders, screens and directs phone calls and email inquiries that come to the HR inbox, responds to employment verification requests, drafts/formats documentation, schedules meetings, organizes special projects, and prepares financial statements reimbursement requests as needed. Acts as backup to the HRIS Specialist for monitoring, updating, and maintaining the HRIS systems and run reports for HR team members and managers. Interacts with current employees and serves as front desk attendant for the HR department; assists with questions from visitors. Support Sr. HR Generalist with recruiting and new-hire processes which includes preparing and posting jobs. Interacts with applicants and provides technical support for the applicant tracking system, schedule interviews, prepares offer letters, and provides assistance throughout the onboarding process including but not limited to background checks, pre-employment physicals, etc. Works closely with Sr. Benefits Specialist to serve as the primary contact and coordinate orientations for all incoming staff. Works closely with the Education department to prepare for Advanced Training courses program throughout the summer. Updates and maintains HR document tracking systems, databases, and personnel files in accordance and compliance with organization’s policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws. Performs administrative project work including researching and gathering information various sources, formatting, and summarizing results. Serves as the MBL’s program administrator for the E-Verify programs and processes all I-9 work authorizations for incoming employees. Maintains the MBL’s background check program as well as CORI/SORI checks. Leads the Employee Activities Committee, maintains HR Intranet page, and works closely with Communications for MBL Intranet postings. Performs other duties as required and/or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have excellent organizational, communication, follow-through, and database management skills. Must have proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously. Experience with Microsoft applications is required. Hands on experience with HRIS platforms are preferred. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1-2 years of HR-related experience. Knowledge of standard employment practices related to Federal and State employment laws and regulations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires sedentary work (exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects). Duties and responsibilities include: Observe and record patient behavior Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests Collect patient health history Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients Direct and supervise nurses, nurse assistants and nurse aides Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes We are seeking skilled Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct patient care. Duties and responsibilities include: Monitor patient’s vitals and record them in their file Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding and dressing Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication Update patient records in a confidential manner Evaluate the patient’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families Change dressings and bandages, ensuring patients are healing properly Move patients from wheelchairs, beds
Experience Required:
Home Health experience is preferred
