Cape Cod Healthcare will be the beneficiary of the first annual Hope Music Festival on Aug. 23 at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, featuring a lineup of legendary rock artists and Grammy Award winners from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and millennials. Cape Cod Healthcare is the leading provider of health care services on the Cape and operators of Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital. CCHC is committed to the well-being of the communities it serves—a priority of which is behavioral health care and the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. The hospital has been guaranteed at least a $250,000 from festival proceeds. A press conference announcing details of the festival will be held Monday, May 1 at 3 pm at Cape Cod Hospital in the Lorusso Conference Room. Festival organizers, sponsors, and some of the festival performers will be on hand, as well as CCHC officials. The music festival, organized by Brian Serpone Productions and presented by Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, will include artists who have played for such groups as Grand Funk Railroad, the Rolling Stones, Boston, The Cars, The Outlaws, B52s, the J. Geils Band and the Wilson Pickett Band. In all, about 20 performances are planned for the festival.
