Swing Dancing, Gaming Tables, and Martini Competition Highlight Celebration Fundraiser Barnstable, MA – June 7, 2016 Five of Cape Cod’s finest establishments will be mixing their most creative and tasty martinis on Friday, June 24, as they compete in the fifth annual Artini Partini, a Cape Symphony & Conservatory celebration fundraiser. It’s the perfect blend of cuisine and cocktails, sipping and socializing, bidding and blending. Guests will enjoy a whimsical night out as they determine which of five vendors has crafted the “Most Artistic Martini,” crowning the winner at the end of the evening. The Conservatory Jazz Big Band sets the tone for swing dancing, while Van Rensselaer’s Restaurant & Raw Bar offers delectable treats. The proceeds from the celebration will help the Cape Conservatory expand its music and arts education programming, and provide much-needed financial aid scholarships to Conservatory families. “The money we raise at Artini will be used in so many meaningful ways. Most importantly, it will provide greater access to incredible artistic experiences with our accomplished faculty through scholarship programs, financial aid and community performance opportunities,” said Stephanie Weaver, Executive Director of the Cape Conservatory. Participating establishments in the martini competition include Brazilian Grill of Hyannis; Chatham Light Liquors; Cotuit Center for the Arts; Five Bays Bistro of Osterville; and Torino Restaurant & Bar of Hyannis. Guests who aren’t martini connoisseurs may enjoy fine wine, water and soft drinks generously provided by Harney’s Liquors of South Dennis. New features for 2016 include the venue; the party will be at the Conservatory’s Barnstable campus, which will be augmented by a large reception tent with dance floor. Couples can swing dance to the Conservatory’s Jazz Big Band and an instructor will be on hand to guide those with two left feet. Gaming tables are also new this year. Guests can test lady luck at blackjack and roulette tables, with fabulous prizes awarded to the evening’s highest winners. This year’s raffle is also generating great excitement; the grand prize is a 15-day Grand European Viking River Cruise for two, valued at over $22,000! Please note that tickets are selling quickly, but are still available through the Cape Conservatory at 508-362-2772 and online at capeconservatory.org. Tickets are $100 each.
