Falmouth, Mass., February 2, 2016 – The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS) and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce announced today the development of a workshop series designed to build a competitive workforce for a blue economy on Cape Cod. “The National Graduate School is proud to be part of this important initiative to build a sustainable economy on the Cape,” said R. Clinton Miner, Ph.D., NGS President and CEO. “Our college focuses on providing graduates the competencies necessary to help them improve organizational performances in measured ways. Inherent in that mission is supporting community economic development through an educated and well trained workforce and leveraging the College’s resources to support incubator activities that foster innovation in economic and business development. NGS is committed to the community in which we live and will continue to contribute our resources to the economic viability and the growth of the blue economy on the Cape.” “The Blue Economy is all about creating a sustainable future for the Cape Cod region through a marine centered live-work-play-create economy,” said Chris Adams, Chief of Staff at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. “This workshop series is the beginning of what we expect to be a long and successful partnership and a great community asset as we move toward a ‘blue’ focused economy.” The workshop series is free of charge and will feature leading faculty members of The National Graduate School, who are experts in their fields. The first workshop, Negotiations & Conflict Resolutions with Dr. Miner, will be held on February 11, 2016 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce in Centerville. All participates will receive a certificate of completion for each workshop attended from The National Graduate School of Quality Management.
