Falmouth, Mass., February 26, 2016 – The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS) is pleased to announce that Yvonne Rutherford, a student in the Master of Science Degree in Quality Systems Management program, has been awarded the Ginger Baine Miller Legacy Scholarship by Women Veterans Interactive (WVI). The $16,000 scholarship is to be applied to the tuition costs for the Master’s Degree. The WVI Legacy Scholarship program recognizes the importance of education and assists women veterans in achieving their educational goals. The program offers financial support to women veterans pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Degrees. Scholarships are awarded to help offset tuition at The National Graduate School of Quality Management. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential and community service. Applicants must be women veterans who have served honorably in any branch of the U.S. armed forces. Yvonne was selected by a Scholarship Committee appointed by the Board of Directors of Women Veterans Interactive who were thoroughly impressed by her essay, accomplishments and future goals of improving the veteran patient experience. Yvonne served in the United States Army, during which time she was deployed to Bosnia as a Military Policeman, and has worked with three different government agencies, including her current position as a Patient Safety Specialist at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
