FALMOUTH—The Falmouth Historical Society is accepting nominations for its 2019 Heritage Award. Established in 2000 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Historical Society, the award recognizes individuals (or organizations) who have provided outstanding leadership over time and helped preserve the character, culture, stories, vistas or other aspect of Falmouth’s rich history. The Historical Society will present the Heritage Award to the recipient(s) at an honorary dinner in the spring of 2019. Those who would like to nominate an individual, or an organization, who has positively influenced Falmouth, can send a letter outlining the nominee’s contributions to the community to: The Falmouth Historical Society, Heritage Award Nomination, P.O .Box 174, Falmouth, MA 02541. The Falmouth Historical Society’s mission is to preserve, share and celebrate the history and culture of Falmouth through its archives, exhibitions, educational programs and community events.
