FALMOUTH, MA - Falmouth Community Television is offering its popular “Spring Vacation Animation Camp” for children aged six to fourteen. The four session program will be offered during the spring break period from school, Tuesday through Friday, April 19-22. There are two sections each day, 11AM - 1PM and 3PM - 5PM. In this popular workshop series, children learn to make short animated videos using “claymation” stop-motion techniques. The workshops give children a chance to explore their creativity and hone their storytelling skills while working in teams to create clay puppets, write scripts, then animate their characters using various digital techniques in the Falmouth Community Media Center’s animation suite. These videos are then replayed on FCTV Public Channel 13 and on FCTV’s website at www.fctv.org. The fee for this camp is $125.00 for FCTV members and $160.00 for non-members. There is a limit of 8 students per session, and proof of vaccination and masks are required. For more information and to register for either of these sections, call FCTV at 508-457-0800 or email allen@fctv.org.
