Orleans, MA – Nauset Disposal is hosting its annual community fundraiser, Trash Bash, on Friday, October 22. The event will be held at Nauset Disposal’s Orleans location at 3 Rayber Road from 5:30 to 11PM. 100% of the proceeds generated at Trash Bash will go to seven local nonprofit organizations: Cape & Islands United Way, Center for Coastal Studies, Community Development Partnership, Cape Cod Military Support Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands, Love Live Local, and Wild Care. Collections of non-perishable goods will also be collected at the door to benefit the Lower Cape Outreach Council. Trash Bash features live music with the Grab Brothers and DJ Trev, with dinner donated by several local restaurants, beer and wine, door prizes and more. Admission is $50 per person, and pre-registration is highly encouraged and can be done online at trashbash.nausetdisposal.com. Admission includes food and drink tickets, as well as an opportunity to win one of several door prizes. In 2020, Nauset Disposal distributed $40,000 to beneficiaries after the first ever virtual Trash Bash. The company hopes to exceed that amount this year with an in-person event while providing a safe and fun environment to raise funds for the above-mentioned nonprofits. Owner of Nauset Disposal, Shawn DeLude, commented, “There are so many worthy nonprofit organizations in our region that do so much for our community, and we are fortunate to have an amazing group of customers and sponsors who support our philanthropic efforts. Trash Bash provides an opportunity for people to gather together in a safe way while giving back to our community after a time of uncertainty and separateness.” Trash Bash will comply with all state regulations relating to gatherings and COVID-19. The event will be held outdoors with ample ventilation and room for social distancing; hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout; and non-vaccinated individuals will be asked to wear a mask. Nauset Disposal is also reducing the capacity of the event and will be closely monitoring levels of community transmission prior to the event on October 22. This event would not be possible without the generous support and participation of many local businesses. Nauset Disposal would like to recognize the generosity of the sponsors of Trash Bash: CC Construction, Cape Cod Beer, Complete Payroll Solutions, Cove Road Real Estate, Ocean 104.7, Turtle Rock LLC, 3 Fools, Ballard Truck Center, Eldred’s Auction House, Fairway Restaurant & Pizzeria, Friend’s Marketplace, Hog Island Beer Co., Hole In One Restaurant, Hot Chocolate Sparrow, itWORKS, Kerry Insurance Agency, La Tanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, LLP, Land Ho!
