A Summer Garden Celebration July 9-18, 2021 For Immediate Release (June 16, 2021) For the seventh year, gardeners across Cape Cod will ring in the summer season with the Seventh Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, happening July 9-18, 2021. Not just a celebration for the region’s signature bloom, the genus hydrangea, this event encompasses plants of all kinds. The main attraction across the 10-day festival are tours of local gardens, usually kept off-limits and only maintained by individual homeowners throughout the year. Tours of these unique private spaces are $5 per person per garden, and every garden is paired with a benefiting nonprofit organization which receives 100% of the proceeds. The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce has announced that there will be over 70 gardens open for the benefit of 21 non-profits this year. The Cape Cod Hydrangea Society will present its annual Hydrangea University lectures virtually. The Hydrangea test gardens at Heritage Museums and Gardens will be open during normal museum hours, and other businesses will be holding talks and outdoor tours as well.
