FALMOUTH, MA - Falmouth Community Television is offering its popular “Vacation Animation Camp” for children aged seven to twelve. This in-person program will be offered over a four-day period during the spring break from school, Tuesday through Friday, April 20-23. There will be two sessions offered each day, a morning session from 10:00 am to noon and an afternoon session from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Each session offered will have an eight-student limit as space is limited. COVID-19 protocols including social distancing and mask-wearing will be followed and required of all participants. In this popular workshop series, children learn to make short animated videos using “claymation” stop-motion techniques. The workshops give children a chance to explore their creativity and hone their storytelling skills while working in teams to create clay puppets, write scripts, then animate their characters using various digital techniques in the Falmouth Community Media Center’s learning lab. These videos are then replayed on FCTV Public Channel 13 and on FCTV’s website at www.fctv.org. The fee for this camp is $120.00 for FCTV members and $160.00 for non-members.
