The Massachusetts Maritime Academy is working with their motivated students in the International Maritime Business program who are eager to work this winter in a cooperative education experience. They hope you will consider sponsoring an intern! They are hard workers, ready to gain experience and help out as they learn new skills. They can work remotely or in your office. This year, due to the pandemic, students are seeking short internships for both January (4 weeks) and May/June (4 weeks), as well as the typical Summer Placement (July/August). The short internship might be a good time for you to hire a student for a specific project, collect and analyze data, create reports, create or update social media platforms, marketing outreach to clients, database management, audit existing files/plans/programs, accounting and financial reports, etc. It will depend on your goals and needs of course! MMA students have strong Excel skills and are ready to put to use, all they have learned in school. The students going out for internships are in their junior year. MMA works with a wide range of employers - large, small, non-profits, government agencies, start-ups and more. Please contact Maryanne Richards at 508-830-5039 if you have any questions or would like to suggest ideas for a co-op student!
