Sandwich – Community Health Center of Cape Cod will soon be offering services at a new location at 90 Route 6A on Sextant Hill in Sandwich. This new office will enable the Health Center to provide convenient access to care for more than 1,500 current patients from Sandwich, and to allow even more individuals to access integrated care services. At a kick-off event held at the Belfry Inn & Bistro on September 15, the Health Center welcomed leaders in the Sandwich community to learn more about the Health Center and the plans to expand into Sandwich. Guests were able to speak with Health Center staff members, including Chief Executive Officer Karen Gardner and Dr. Nevine Henin, who will be practicing in the Sandwich office. In addition to providing increased access to care, Community Health Center of Cape Cod is adding a location in Sandwich to address instances of high chronic disease and substance use disorders. The Sandwich location will offer the following services: primary care and preventative services, behavioral health and substance use disorder services, and telehealth services. The Health Center has seen increased demand from the Town of Sandwich currently cares for one in every 14 residents of Sandwich, and the number of patients has increased 43% over the past three years. Additional information will be forthcoming as the Health Center progresses with licensure requirements and opening plans. The Health Center currently cares for more than 20,000 patients at their four current office locations. They offer a full array of integrated health services for anyone in the community who needs them at offices in offices in Bourne, Centerville, Falmouth and Mashpee.
