Falmouth Enterprise, By BRAD COLE The Town of Falmouth is accepting permit applications via email throughout the duration of Governor Charles D. Baker Jr.'s emergency order requiring all businesses and organizations that do not provide “COVID-19 Essential Services” to close their physical workplaces and facilities to workers, customers and the public. Under "An Act to Address Challenges Faced by Municipalities and State Authorities Resulting from COVID-19," permit applications may be filed by email. The order currently runs through Monday, May 18. Physical applications may be submitted via mail or through the Falmouth Town Hall drop box. All applications via email must be sent to the town clerk's office at Michael.Palmer@falmouthma.gov. The emails must be carbon copied to the appropriate permit-granting authority: Zoning Board of Appeals - email@example.com Planning Board or the Historical - firstname.lastname@example.org Conservation Commission - email@example.com Board of Health - firstname.lastname@example.org Building Commissioner - email@example.com Board of Selectmen - firstname.lastname@example.org. Those who apply via email should send a check with the applicable application fee to 59 Town Hall Square, Falmouth, MA, 02540. Applications can also be mailed to that address, to the attention of the appropriate permit-granting authority. Physical applications can also be dropped off in the drop box behind Falmouth Town Hall. Applications to the zoning board of appeals, board of health and selectmen should be left in the drop box marked ZBA/Health. Applications to the planning board, historical commission and building commission should be left in the drop box marked Hist/Planning/Building, and applications to the conservation commission should be left in the drop box labeled Con Comm/Veterans. Applications left in the town hall drop box should include all submission materials, including the fee.
