Falmouth, MA – Recovering Champions, a substance abuse treatment facility with locations in Falmouth and Sandwich, Massachusetts, is pleased to announce the hiring of veteran clinical health manager Kellie Ferreira as new Clinical Director. In this role, Ferreira will provide continuing professional care to all clients in the Recovering Champions program. Ferreira is highly experienced in the substance abuse field, bringing nearly 20 years of work in recovery, treatment and education. Most recently, she held the role of Program Director at Highpoint Treatment Center in New Bedford, where she oversaw the Reflections-Court Alternative Program. The program is a DPH-licensed therapeutic jail diversion program for clients facing incarceration for criminal matters caused by substance abuse/addiction. During her tenure at Highpoint, she also served as Residential and Shelter Services Human Rights Officer, and Clinical Director. Earlier in her career, she taught Psychology at Bristol Community College. Ferreira is a licensed medical health clinician, a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, and holds a Certificate in Trauma Studies. She received an Associates Degree in Human Services from Bristol Community College, a BA in Psychology from The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and a Masters in Psychology from Lesley University.
