On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Gosnold will team up with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Falmouth Commodores to provide an afternoon of family fun. The event will take place from 4:00 – 5:30 PM at Fuller Field (behind the Rec Center) at 790 Main Street, Falmouth. “Playing Above the Influence” is a substance-free event designed to give families and young people an opportunity to interact with positive role models. All players in the Cape Cod Baseball League sign a contract agreeing to be drug and alcohol free. The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office will put on a K-9 demonstration, the Falmouth Police Department will provide a police cruiser for the attendees to experience, the Falmouth Fire Department will create a slip-n-slide, and there will be an obstacle course with fatal vision goggles. Free hot dogs! Cake for everyone! Free event T-shirts! An autographed baseball and other team items will be awarded as raffle prizes. Cape Cod Broadcasting’s 99.9 The Q will be playing music and spinning their prize wheel to give away free gifts. The event is free and all are welcome to attend. Special thanks to our sponsors: the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, Cape Cod Five Foundation, NJL Foundation, MiKool365.com, the Falmouth Police Department, the Falmouth Fire Department, and Cape Cod Broadcasting.
