Hyannis, MA - Hope Hospice is looking for volunteers in southeastern Massachusetts who want to make a lasting difference in the lives of people and their families. All volunteers participate in a comprehensive training program. The next volunteer training will be held on December 14 and 15, 2017 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Family Resource Center, 45 Rock Street, Fall River. Volunteers report tremendous satisfaction from serving in this capacity, enriching the lives of others while reaping personal rewards. A Hope Hospice volunteer said, “I’ve received so much great training as part of my volunteer experience at Hope Hospice. I’ve learned the types of things everyone should be aware of at this important time so I can truly help others going through it.” Hope Hospice volunteer opportunities include a wide range of support services: • Emotional support and companionship • Respite care to caregivers • Grief support • Work with a veteran • Pet therapy • Reiki or massage support • Administrative assistance Please register for the patient care volunteer training program by December 12, 2017.
