Orleans, MA – On Friday, October 20, Nauset Disposal hosted over 550 customers, friends and community members at the company’s annual fundraiser, Trash Bash. The 2017 event marked the largest event to date, raising over $25,000 for local nonprofits. Beneficiaries included Cape Cod Cares for the Troops, Cape & Islands United Way, Center for Coastal Studies, Community Development Partnership and Wild Care Cape Cod. Attendees donated non-perishable food items that were later donated to the Lower Cape Outreach Council, as well as children’s clothing items benefiting Katelynn’s Closet. Shawn DeLude, President of Nauset Disposal, stated “Having grown up on the Lower Cape I’ve developed a deep interest in the health and economic sustainability of our community. Starting Nauset Disposal 18 years ago was a way to combat large corporate business and promote doing business locally. It is imperative that we keep money on Cape Cod by supporting LOCAL businesses. My commitment to providing the best customer service while conducting business with respect to our community and the environment will always remain our mission. Our alliance with and support of many nonprofits on Cape Cod is just another extension of who and what Nauset Disposal represents. It is exciting to work with such a talented team of local employees and their families. The support of our customers and the community was loud and clear at the event. I am thankful to any and all that participated, donated and supported our annual Trash Bash.” Trash Bash would not have been successful without the support of top level sponsors: Cape Cod Beer, Complete Payroll Solutions, Cape Cod Title & Escrow, Cove Road Real Estate, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Bayside Tent and Table, Wind Screens, Hot Chocolate Sparrow, Platinum Auto Service, Stephan McMahon & Company, PC, CC Construction, Cape Cod Insulation, Orleans Auto Supply, Cape Community Business Partners, the Hole In One, and media sponsor Cape Cod Media Group.
