Hope Hospice is pleased to announce that the Vinni Malone Memorial Ride for Hope Hospice raised over $9,000 to help fund the many necessary, yet unfunded, services people with serious illness and their families need on Cape Cod. The ride was organized by Larry Kornetsky who did all of the planning and recruiting for this ride in memory of Vinni Malone. A group of fifteen dedicated riders joined forces on Saturday, September 9, at the South Dennis Bike Path lot to ride and raise money for Hope Hospice in honor and memory of Vinni Malone. The ride was planned as a low-key, choose-any-distance opportunity for everyone to participate. Riders accomplished anywhere from 25 to as many as 62 total miles. The finale was a celebration of the accomplishment as riders gathered at the Kream ‘N Kone to enjoy lunch and revel in the fact that their efforts helped to raise over $9,000 to support Hope Hospice. “It was great to ride with Vinni Malone's husband, Mike, her son, Joe, some of her friends, as well as others that support Hope Hospice,” said Larry Kornetsky, the Vinni Malone memorial Ride organizer. “We are so grateful to the family and friends of Vinni Malone and all of the dedicated riders who wanted to raise money for Hope Hospice in her memory,” said Diana Franchitto, president & CEO of HopeHealth, who also rode in the event. “Through their efforts, Hope Hospice is able to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families, every day.
