Falmouth Theatre Guild is bringing back the multi-media show, “A Day in the Life: A Beatles Experience” to Highfield Theater on September 15 and 16 at 7:30pm. This year’s show celebrates the 50th anniversary of the release of the album, Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The show was a sold-out success last year. The show’s creator, Morgan Cates, who plays Paul McCartney in the show, said he is excited about the changes to this year’s show. “The audience will now see a set devoted specifically to the album in which we will perform approximately half of the album in order with note-for-note authenticity. In the past we have performed numbers from Sgt. Pepper, but they have always been mixed in with songs from other albums. Not anymore! Of course we will once again dawn the iconic ‘Pepper Suits’ and have adapted new staging to make it feel as if the cast has stepped directly off of the legendary album cover,” Cates said. Cates said, “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band truly changed the course of popular music forever, and paying tribute to the most iconic album of all time is an honor that cannot be replicated. I look forward to every opportunity to share this experience with audiences. And of course returning to a place like Falmouth is something to be excited about in itself. The people of this wonderful community are always just so welcoming and hospitable.” “A Day in the Life: A Beatles Experience” will be performed as a benefit for the Falmouth Theatre Guild at Highfield Theater at 58 Highfield Drive in Falmouth on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16, both shows at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $20 for students, and are available on the Falmouth Theatre Guild website at www.falmouththeatreguild.org or by phone at 866-811-4111.
