Cotuit Center for the Arts announces the launch of Open Seat at the Center, a new program that will make tickets and class tuitions available to those with limited funds. Open Seat at the Center will provide two free tickets to every performance of every Mainstage and Black Box production and one free tuition for every class offered from September 2017 to September 2018. Tickets and tuitions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested may call or email the Center to make reservations. “Cotuit Center for the Arts is a welcoming hub, committed to making the arts accessible, nurturing, and thrilling, to all,” said David Kuehn, executive director of the Center. “We know that not everyone can afford to see our productions or attend our classes, and we hope that this program will make our theater productions, concerts, films, and classes more accessible to all those who love the arts.” The open seat program was funded by generous donors who raised their bid paddles at the 2017 Entertainment Tonight annual fundraising gala. To request show and event tickets, contact Jason Mellin in the CCftA Box Office at 508-428-0069, ext. 120, or at jason@cotuitcenterforthearts.org. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours prior to a performance. To request to take a class, contact Christine Ernst in the CCftA Education Office at 508-454-6199, or at christine@cotuitcenterforthearts.org. Reservations should be made at least one week prior to the beginning of the class. There is a limit of one pair of tickets every six months or one class per year per person.
