The fourth annual Antique Appraisals to benefit Friends of Falmouth Dogs medical fund is planned for Saturday, September 16, at Atria Woodbriar Place on Gifford Street in Falmouth. The event will run from 1 to 3 PM. Cost is $10 per item, and three items for $25. All appraisals are estimates only and no jewelry, stamps or coins will be appraised. Michael Kasparian is donating his services for the appraisals. Mr. Kasparian is the president of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce but is also an expert in antiques, with a focus on American furniture. He is a graduate of the Art and Antique Appraisal Program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Atria Woodbriar Place is donating the venue for the event. Refreshments will be served and complimentary tours of the facility will be given. Friends of Falmouth Dogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates an adoption program at the Falmouth Animal Control Center in West Falmouth. Run entirely by volunteers, the group was founded in 1990. The medical fund is the single largest expense funded by donations.
