March 24, 2017 (Mashpee, MA) – Seventeen teams of six bowlers each competed in the 14th Annual Cape Cod Children’s Museum Fundraising Bowl-a-Thon at The Lanes Bowl & Bistro, Mashpee Commons on March 9th. The event included two heats of bowlers vying for the “Bankers Cup” or the “Super Bowl” awards. The friendly competition among teams of bankers resulted in the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank taking home the ‘Bankers Cup’ trophy for the second year in a row with the highest total team score in the first heat. Business and networking group teams took to the lanes in the second heat with Harry Cliff Services upsetting defending champs, Bosun’s Marine to take home the ‘Super Bowl’ trophy. Will Toomey from the Harry Cliff Services team won the prize for highest overall individual score of 170. Other participating teams include The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod; Eastern Bank with two teams; First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union; Rockland Trust; Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office; BNI "Beacon Connectors"; BNI "Team Advantage"; Cape Cod Child Development; Cape Cod Business Partners; Falmouth Toyota; Murray & MacDonald Insurance Services; Nauset Disposal; and SERVPRO of Upper Cape Cod & The Islands. Of course, the real winners are the children and families who benefit every day from the interactive exhibits and programs offered at Cape Cod Children’s Museum.
