Brewster, MA – For many, Dream Day on Cape Cod is an organization that is life changing. The camp, located in Nickerson State Park in Brewster, serves families with life-threatening illnesses or serious conditions by providing a camp for families to enjoy a week of fun and respite. Families enjoy a week of swimming, canoeing, campfires and other camp related activities, providing them an opportunity to focus on bonding activities and lasting memories rather than daily medical woes. On February 9, 2017, Dream Day on Cape Cod experienced a loss; their truck, responsible for daily trips bringing wheelchairs to the beach in the summer, and moving debris and plowing their roads in the winter, was crushed by a falling tree in a recent blizzard. The truck is destroyed, leaving Dream Day on Cape Cod without a vehicle in a time leading up to their busy season. An organization that helps so many families is in need. Dream Day on Cape Cod is a proud partner to the local community, as well as a commercial customer of Nauset Disposal. Nauset Disposal is happy to help with debris removal with the partnership of Robert B. Our, who has generously offered to receive the debris and dispose of it free of charge. Nauset Disposal is also pleased to donate the cost of the first month of service for all new year round customers between now and March 31 to Dream Day on Cape Cod. Our goal is to raise awareness to this cause- please consider lending a hand in any way you can.
