Yarmouthport – The Cape Cod Association is accepting applications for its 2017 scholarship program. Over the past 10 years, the Cape Cod Association has distributed more than 3,000 awards totaling over $4 million to local students. The applications are completely online. Past recipients of this scholarship must reapply by midnight on March 15, 2017. New applicants and those who have not previously received this scholarship must apply by midnight on April 1, 2017. The Cape Cod Association, founded in 1851, is dedicated to helping students who were born on and reside on Cape Cod or the Islands achieve success in higher education. The Association offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors and college students for up to four years of an undergraduate program. The Cape Cod Association does not fund graduate education. Applicants may attend two- and four-year colleges, technical schools, and community colleges anywhere in the United States. Last year, the Cape Cod Association awarded more than $400,000 to 282 local students. Links to the online applications can be found on the Association’s website at www.capecodassoc.org. The Cape Cod Association is a supporting organization of The Cape Cod Foundation, a community foundation whose mission is to build permanent charitable resources for community betterment through informed grantmaking and civic leadership.
