Mashpee – Community Health Center of Cape Cod congratulates Theresa Guanci, DMD, on winning Massachusetts Dental Society’s (MDS) prestigious 10 Under 10 Award. The award recognizes ten MDS member dentists who have been in the profession for ten years or less and have made a significant contribution to their profession, their community and/or organized dentistry. Recipients were announced from across the globe and represent a growing culture of dental professionals serving every pocket of their community. Dr. Guanci has been with Community Health Center of Cape Cod since 2014, first during her final year externship, and then as a Staff Dentist. She was promoted to Dental Director in December 2016. In addition to providing leadership in CHC’s Mashpee office, Dr. Guanci also helped launch the CHC dental clinics in both Bourne and Falmouth. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, her Masters in Medical Sciences degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree from Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation. “I am thrilled to be recognized as one of Massachusetts Dental Society’s 10 Under 10,” said Dr. Guanci. “This year’s list of winners features an impressive lineup of names, all who have contributed so much to the dental field and their communities. It’s an honor to receive this award as a community health center associate since our community often struggles to find high quality, affordable, integrated care. I’m proud to help provide dental services to all, regardless of ability to pay.” The Massachusetts Dental Society, a 5,000-member constituent of the American Dental Association, is dedicated to the professional development of its member dentists through initiatives in education, advocacy, and promotion of the highest professional standards, and championing oral health in the Commonwealth.
